First week of hometime

This day has started well, with my massive 128GB SDXC card arriving on time. I was worries Amazon are going to mess up and I was going to get my order days after it's meant to come. After all, that is the luck I can expect, especially when you need it the most. I'm excited about today. A couple of days ago Ali, manager from Snappy Snaps called my up and asked if I could take  pictures at a Turkish wedding! Not my ideal photography job, but it's only for six hours, and pays quite nicely cash on hand, considering I've never done paid photography work. Gosh, I hope this doesn't trap me with wedding photography forever, that is my one big fear.
What else is new. My uni starts tomorrow, we're doing a briefing lecture. I should have really started jotting down ideas for our new project 'Personal Manifesto', which is very very broad and can be anything. But it has to have some kind of a meaning. I struggle with this, but I'm sure I can get into it and actually maybe start getting myself into that conceptual photography mindset, after all I'm stuck with it for three years!
On Friday I finally went to a photography repair shop in Soho, to check how much it'd be to fix my lovely Canon a1 manual camera. It's such a great camera, I only paid £100 pounds for it but I have a feeling to fix it would be very expensive. I have to ring back tomorrow and they'll tell me the price.
Oh, Steff moved out! Incredible news, she actually moved out. Me and Sofie were sat in the living room, having dinner while steff loaded all of her stuff out of the house. Obviously it had to be dramatic. She had pulled out all the draws in her room and chucked them across the floor, the closet was in the middle of the room and the clothes rail was upside down. Still nothing beats how happy we all were. I've decorated the living room as well, it looks a little nicer than before, we just need to wash the dishes, oh there are so many and it's disgusting. On Friday me Esmee, Sofi and Robyn and two other boys had a little celebration, we had so much fun dancing downstairs. I took lots of photos  on my camera which I'll upload in another post. All these photos are from my Samsung phone. I've found an amazing app, Fotor I would really recommend it, it's all you want from an editing tool! So mostly the photos are from around the New Cross I've taken, and the house and some of myself and other people. Enjoy ma lovelies!

Have a lovely day,
I'll Post Soon,

Morning Confusion.

This morning I woke up in a weird feeling of worry and confusion. Everything is okay though, yesterday I managed to finish my essay which is due in today. It's not very good I don't think but It doesn't count towards anything anyway. I feel a bit nervous about making work though as my deadlines are in about two weeks and I need to do lots of shoots for it which I haven't even organised.

This morning was nice. Me, Steff and Sophie all had breakfast together in the kitchen, then I showered and now I'm all ready to go to uni to hand in my work. This house is like music wars. I don't have speakers so I've lost the battle. Steff, Sophie and Robyn always blast it to the loudest and I'm left with a big jumble of the three.

Tomorrow morning is my bus to Cardiff. I'm getting my tattoo finished! Very excited about this. Then I'm going to see my family for a couple of hours before seeing Fallujah in Clwb Ifor Bach! I'm missing university for this, but it's worth it. I've actually missed quite a lot this term which is bad but next term I will attend every lesson, promise to myself!

Here are some photos from my ASUS phone that I can treat you with. It's all from either uni or at home :)

This is Tori. She's form Norway.

This is Patry Mad-edge and Natasha, sleeping in a lecture.

Have a lovely day.

New Start

(I wrote this a little more than a week ago, but didnt post it.)
So this week has probably been the biggest change of my life so far. With the help of my dear family and friends I am sat here in my new eat in kitchen, smoking a cigarette and thinking about what I should tell you. It's pretty incredible but at the same time feels weirdly natural. I now live in New Cross in London, sharing a house with another four girls. It's been a week already so I feel pretty much settled in (except for my room, still waiting on a delivery of a suitcase containing very important things that will contribute to my every day comfort. It will arrive tomorrow, together with my boyfriend).

Moving in day was a very eventful day! Ewan walked me to the bus at 5.30 in the morning and I was off, just me and my suitcase. I enrolled and moved in, and later that day Louise came down with another one of my suitcases. Together we did my first food shop, which was pretty exciting actually! Today I did my second one (I make sure it's only once a week' every Friday I do big shops to ensure I dont waste too much money on food). Anyhow we went out Friday and stayed quite sober which we were both very proud of, because the following day we had to do some furniture and house essential shopping as well as seeing Boddika at Suffolk Tunnels. They were these great big tunnels! With DJ's! Pretty amazing. So anyhow we had a blast. I was so happy Louise came down and helped me settle into my new habitat. Then on Sunday we woke up an hour before Louises bus back to Cardiff! Should have put an alarm on... She made though, with  little bit of luck obviously- the bus being late by fifteen minutes! She left, just her and my suitcase. I was all by myself in this massive city.
