Friday Evening Mind Storms

Don't know why now is the right moment for writing a blog post; I'm sitting in my kitchen, it's like an earthquake here, thanks to the washing machine. It's a beautiful kind of humid, cloudy and grey outside! I've just got back from the shop, went there to get tobacco, came back with a 2 litre bottle of Cider. Times are hard, I'm broke, totally and absolutely. I stood outside the 'old man' pub of new cross for a bit, listening to an older bloke sing some trashy 90's song! Was stood there giggling.
Dilemmas, dilemmas. I'm in two minds about  what to do for summer. Mum has called her work friend who works in another hotel, and they are looking for people. So... The thing is I would stay if I had enough money to get by, but I don't think that's happening. I have £50 pound to my name. Wooo! So I'm likely going back to Cardiff. I'm happy, but I just feel like I want to be independent, so going back is a bit of a step backwards because I lose my room here at the house. And I have to move all the stuff... That's the most shit thing haha!
I'm nearly done with the project. Tomorrow we finishing the presentation all together at Afra's place, and rehearsing for it; we're on, 12 on Tuesday! This term has been totally stress-less, except maybe the beginning.
I have been taking photos recently. I realise every time I'm depressed; I'm not taking photos. I've been using my Olympus Trip 35 camera, and with good film in it, it looks great. They look the best with flash, so I try and use it more now. I love the artificiality and flatness.
I don't really want to do a long post, so I'll leave you here.
Going to go read up some Uncanny theories, still haven't done it.
It's Friday night!
Here's some snaps from the last week or so.

A gray Sunday

Before I left London on the 27th of March, the local homeless man was sat outside New Cross Gate station begging. Last night upon my return back home, he was sat there all the same. It seemed as if nothing was changed, but then again, I got home feeling incredibly melancholy, in hopes that everyone is in (mind it's Saturday night) and having a laugh over a glass of wine. No, only Harriet was home, the other girls were out. I couldn't connect (and still cant) connect my laptop to the internet, and so I tidied my room, with my shoes and coat still on, showered, found a month old half smoked biffter, and borrowed Napoleon Dynamite from Harriet and fell asleep with my candles and lights still on.
I thought I would be sad today, or something, but no. I just returned from my mini food shop (I need enough money for a train ticket but student money hasn't come in yet), packed  a little lunch, threw out everything mine and old from my cupboard and the fridge and did my washing. I've borrowed Esmees mac, put on some jazzy tunes and going to get ready in a minute to go to Photographers Gallery to see a free film screening 'Melancholia' because I have nothing better to do on this gray Sunday day.
I have shot 8 rolls of film during these holidays, so will have some pictures to post tomorrow!
Sorry no pictures, I am on Esmee's macbook!
Adios

Grey weather and leaving blues

Today is finally the day. The day I have to pack my suitcase and make everything fit in it! Even though when I came to Cardiff half of it was full of presents, now there is so much more stuff to go in it! I'm bringing a hoover back to London, I've bought stuff to decorate our living room with, I've got presents from friends and family, big pack of medicines and the list can go on. I'm excited to be going back home because I have stuff I need to do piled up in my head that need to be done before Monday when I go back to studies.
So this past week has been really nice. I've spent so so much time over Ewans house, and then every spare moment I've tried to be at home because I know my mum loves it when I'm at home, even if I'm not doing anything or if I'm in the other room. I've such a nice time both here and at Ewan's house, its been so opposite my London life where I spend most of time by myself doing my own business and our house often being empty because everyone's busy bee's, only in the evening we spend time with each other. On that note, I actually miss my house mates! haa.
Yesterday I woke up at Ewans, he dragged me out of bed (I've been sleeping so much!) made us coffee's and then we met up with Lucie and Jaynie in town, went round some charity shops looking for baby clothes for Jay,I bought a watch which didn't work  and I had to return it. Then walked to where i was meeting my girls outside burger king in town. We had a quick lunch at the Pizza Hut Buffet, myself, Louise, Josie and Ewan with his little one and Lucie. Even though Lucie always puts me in a weird mood (and that's understandable in my shoes) we invited her to come lunch with us because she's been sad recently, so I was quite happy for her to join us. Everyone shot off really quickly, Louise had a team meeting and Josie left because she didn't have money to go for a drink, but I feel she didn't really want to come. I'm seeing her in London next week though, we're going to meet up and she's staying round mine for one night. Anyway after going for a pint at wetherspoons I caught a bus home because I felt pretty shitty form the pizza buffet and beer. I decided that I'll quickly shoot to Range shop on nearby my house and get some household items for our London house, so I bought a table cover, lamp lantern, fairy lights and towels, guess what. All for a tenner! Haa it's such a good shop!
Underneath I've posted a load of photos, all taken on my phone camera (Sorry!) to summarize my past week :) I still have a load of photos from new years eve and night but I'll post those another time.
Well that's it form me, I'll be writing more regularly now I go back home where I have my own laptop to write on. Today later I'm meeting Ewan and spending the last night with him and then tomorrow morning is my bus back at 10.15. I'll try and not miss it!

A cake I made!

Little Jaynie Monster:)

Here's all the stuff for our house! The fairy lights might be a bit crap they were £2.50 :D But my mum also gave me some curtains  which I'll put up in the living room (our current curtains are just awful)

Me and my brother:) He's turning into a very handsome man!

Me and my darling mum :)

The sky this morning was beautiful!
Have a great day lovelies.

Leave this year behind

I am sorry I haven't written in such a long time. I was meant to do a post before I left London, but I left in such a rush I didn't have any time!
Where do I start. Last week on Monday I had an unpaid trial shift at Snappy Snaps, a photography shop near my college in Camberwell. It's a tiny little shop and it was a busy day because everyone was getting their presents done. Most of day I spent helping people with the instant photo printing machine, cropping and framing prints, pressing photos on mugs and pillows. I really really enjoyed it and I hope I get it. I was there from 10am till about 7.30pm and we worked without a real break because it was so busy. I didn't even mind though! After the shop closed we did a couple of orders and then Ali the store manager told me about the mini studio they have in the basement thats not open for public but they're working on it. He also lit up a cigarette inside the shop which is cool because we can do printing and smoke at the same time. Oh laaawd haha!
That week was such a hectic week for me. Work every day and on my only day off I did that trial shift. Before work on Tuesday I finished my Chistmas shopping. And on Wednesday I decided I've had enough of my shitty job! I quit through a Christmas card, which I sneakily slipped on the office table when I went there to pick up a bag I've left. That day I woke up, packed my suitcase in like 20 minutes, got ready, booked my ticket which was expensiveeeee but didn't matter because it was Chsitmas eve and all I wanted was to go home and see Ewan and get drunk and have fun.
Now I'm at home I'm so so happy it's so nice having your family at home with you. And to have food made for you. It's the little things in life that we underestimate. I am such a happy girl. Yesterday I woke up at Ewan's house really ill. I spent the day getting back and head strokes, drinking lemsip and eating whatever he made me. :) Oh I'm such a baby when I'm ill all I do is complain and whine haha, I don't know how he takes so much of me. But one thing about long distance, is when you are together, literally every moment is amazing and precious. It really is worth the wait. We've said that we'll try and see each other more in the new year. It's only because he got fired, he never has money and hasn't been able to come down.
Today is the last day of the year. And I'm fucking ill! I went to the doctor and got a big bag of medicines prescribed, I'm on antibiotics. And I've also got a skin infection on my back! A damn big blob of skin infection. In the morning my mum made me breakfast and then I showered and went to the doctors. After doctor I got my medicine, and went to town to return some items that I bought. Its such a nice day today! I'm at home now, gonna finish this and Louise is coming over for a lil catch up, my mum made lunch so we'll eat and chill. Tonight I'm not sure what we're doing I know I'm going to spend it with Ewan, I think we're going to Penarth, but I'm excited to get jolly with some great people I haven't seen in a while. Even though I admit I've been drinking nearly every day since Christmas but hey it's Christmas!
I'm actually very excited for my course to start in two weeks! I'm going to go in every day and work very hard! Such a nice feeling knowing I don't have to go back to my job :))

I don't have many pictures but here's some I've taken last night and today with my new phone, which I'm very happy about!

Sorry about the amount of selfies!
Hope you have a nice new years eve,
Till Next Year,
Cherry x

Morning Confusion.

This morning I woke up in a weird feeling of worry and confusion. Everything is okay though, yesterday I managed to finish my essay which is due in today. It's not very good I don't think but It doesn't count towards anything anyway. I feel a bit nervous about making work though as my deadlines are in about two weeks and I need to do lots of shoots for it which I haven't even organised.

This morning was nice. Me, Steff and Sophie all had breakfast together in the kitchen, then I showered and now I'm all ready to go to uni to hand in my work. This house is like music wars. I don't have speakers so I've lost the battle. Steff, Sophie and Robyn always blast it to the loudest and I'm left with a big jumble of the three.

Tomorrow morning is my bus to Cardiff. I'm getting my tattoo finished! Very excited about this. Then I'm going to see my family for a couple of hours before seeing Fallujah in Clwb Ifor Bach! I'm missing university for this, but it's worth it. I've actually missed quite a lot this term which is bad but next term I will attend every lesson, promise to myself!

Here are some photos from my ASUS phone that I can treat you with. It's all from either uni or at home :)

This is Tori. She's form Norway.

This is Patry Mad-edge and Natasha, sleeping in a lecture.

Natasha at lunch break.

Steff's brithday party at our place- me Robyn and Sophie had a little party of our own in Robyn's room.

Me and some people trying to take a good selfie outside uni.

When Louise came down to London a couple of weeks ago.

After a trip to Photographers gallery and Lomography Store, we treated ourselves to some smoothies and munch.

Have a lovely day.
